  4. Social Media Etiquette  We love our students and want to partner with you to do what is best for your child!  If something is going poorly, please let us know! Email, call, stop by and talk to teachers, counselor, or principal – we want to do our best and work things out.  Please do not complain about teachers or Robert Frost on your social media page. We live in a small community and we see many of your posts. We’re all human and make mistakes. We’re all human and have feelings.

  5. Student Discipline  We are a PBIS school (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)  Our goal is to teach, reteach, and reinforce positive student behaviors. Students aren’t perfect! We all make mistakes! Students may receive one or more of the 3 levels below – we use these systems to reteach positive behaviors.  We use Off-track forms as a way to reteach and problem solve behaviors with students.  We use Minor Referrals as a way to reteach, problem solve, and consequence minor behaviors.  We use Major Referrals as a way to reteach, problem solve, and consequence major behaviors.

  6. Nut Management Process  This process applies to all products containing peanuts or tree nuts and foods manufactured on equipment or in a factory that processes peanuts or tree nuts. Since manufacturers change how they make food regularly, labels have to be read with each package.  Classroom Procedures for Consumption of Nuts and Nut Products:  All Classrooms located in the 300 Mezzanine are a Restricted Nut Zone will have a special morning procedure:  Every morning a review will be done of what students have in their lunches. If they contain nut products, the lunches need to be taken to the office where the students will go for lunch or students can choose to trade out nut products for a school lunch.  The 100 Mezzanine classrooms and 200 Mezzanine classrooms are Nut Awareness Zones and follow these procedures at snack and/or lunch times:  All food items containing nut products must be eaten at a designated table closest to the classroom sink.  During snack and lunchtime close the classroom door while the product(s) are being consumed.  Students are not allowed to trade food.  After consumption thoroughly wipe down tables with provided wipes.  Students need to thoroughly wash hands.  All wrappers should be placed in garbage and the garbage bag cinched up.  Nuts are not allowed in common areas (these are Nut Restricted Zones):  Library  Gym  Music Room  Mezzanine Area  Recess Areas  Office Lobby  Bus Lines

  7. Snacks/Breakfast/Lunch  SFSD follows a policy regarding Foods of Minimal Nutritional Value. Please do not send sugary treats for classroom parties/birthdays, etc. Please do send pretzels, apples, cheese cubes, veggies, etc.  Breakfast is served in the gym everyday from 7:45- 8:05am.  Your student has the option of eating a snack at:  Lunch will be eaten in classrooms at:

If your child is traveling to “special” stop – you must use the bus pass found online or send a note to the office.  Drop-off and pick-up will be located in the side parking lot closest to the church. We ask 3 rd graders to always be dropped off and picked up in our parking lot. 4 th and 5 th graders are welcome to use the church parking lot.  If your plans change – please contact the office before 2:00!
