Why does it matter??? • Darker days and nights, colder weather • Fear of falls • Fear of hypothermia • Less likely to go out • Increased feeling of being lonely • Seasonal Affective Disorder

Planning for it... • Planning for a winter that is still active and fun • Develop a schedule, invite friends • It will be different for every person • Evidence shows that there are certain factors that can help to increase everyone’s wellbeing
What’s good for the body is good for the heart… • Physical Activity Sports, walking, gardening, yoga, cleaning... • Nutrition • Nutrition Salt intake, sugar intake, healthy eating, cholesterol...
