Modified Traditional Model • 100% of students attend school 5 days a week that move as a family cohort • Meals in classrooms • Face coverings worn by all when social distancing is not possible • Special Area teachers push-in to classrooms • No shared materials

Direct instruction provided virtually by local teachers certified who are solely dedicated to online teaching and learning . Students will engage in scheduled synchronous virtual meetings , collaborative discussions , and interactive resources and assignments that are completed at home. Requires an adult dedicated to partnering with Aiken Innovate teachers to serve as the students guide at home. Participation in extra-curricular activities at assigned home- school available. Students enrolled in Aiken Innovate will be eligible to pick up meals from their home-based school. Minimum 1 semester commitment

Criteria for Adjusting Models of Instruction Back to School Advisory Committee- • Comprised of local health professionals, Nurse Supervisor, principal representative, teacher representative, area representatives, Communications Director • Consistent monitoring of local and state data • Regularly scheduled and called meetings to review state and local data • Committee makes recommendation to the Superintendent for change in model

Revenue and Fiscal Office projections = $188,639,040 • Voters approved up to $125 million bond issuance(s) as project jump start • Collections commenced March 1, 2015 • Will end February 28, 2025 • No auto renewal, requires voter approval

  10. 1% SALES TAX USES • 10% for property tax relief, 90% for projects • Five Projects: • Leavelle McCampbell Middle • Aiken High • North Augusta High • Ridge Spring-Monetta Campus • Aiken County Career & Technology Center • Sales tax works in combination with other building funds • Annual 8% debt issuance used for projects as well
