  22. General Notes  Many courses have a symbol. This indicates that the course has a prerequisite – HOWEVER, that course may still be selected ! Please refer to the Course Selection Guide for course descriptions and prerequisite information.  Major subject courses should already be shown and followed by a padlock icon . You cannot change these selections online. See your counselor with any questions.  Make sure that the total credits are 7.0

  40.  Why did my child not receive all courses requested?  Based on the availability, it may not fit with the courses requested.  How do you choose an alternate course in case a first choice isn’t available?  An alternate selection sheet will be handed out as a last step in the process.  Can a parent override teacher recommendations?  Yes  If my student took Spanish in middle school, which high school class should he or she take?  Begin with level I and middle school teacher will make final recommendation at the end of the year.  Can students take classes at the 11/12 building?  At this time, transition will be limited to facilities required for the course (i.e. – Band)
