Select New Features • See our full list of upgrades/changes here: http://psdconsulting.com/key-changes • Improved Defaults • Updates to Hydronic System distribution systems • New Daily Weather Import Tool • Improved Billing Data Import Tool • Additional Data Collection Fields
What is HPXML? • HPXML stands for Home Performance XML • Standard data language for energy efficiency program reporting • Streamlines approval and rebate processes • HPXML originated from TREAT data reporting language. BPI Working Group 5 manages data requirements
HPXML Generation in TREAT • New NYSERDA Workflow requires the latest version of TREAT 3.4.7 and the “HPXML 2.1 – NYSERDA” report • Additional data collection required for program submissions • NYSERDA guidance about new modeling requirements available on contractor homepage and through TREAT “visual inspection” section
HPXML Generation 1. Non-Editable Libraries Must be set to either “On” or “Prompt” 2. Package Status must match job type. See table on next slide.

Visual Inspection Data 3. Collect additional NYSERDA Required Data in TREAT using “Visual Inspections” 4. Required Data Collection Points Include: • Duct Sealed • Duct Leakage Test Method • Duct Visual Inspection (If leakage test is “visual inspection”) • MEASURE CODES FOR IMPROVEMENTS • http://psdconsulting.com/software/treat/treat-hpxml-programs/
Data Collection: Required Inspections Pathway 1: Existing and Improved System • Open Model, Navigate to Visual Inspection Wizard: • Select values for “duct sealed”, “duct leakage test” and “duct visual inspection” (if applicable) • Be sure that inspections are associated with “audit/test-in” For IMPROVED SYSTEM • Follow Steps above but associate inspections with correct package
Improvements with Incentives Pathway 2: Improved System with Measure Code • Measure codes used for non-energy incentives/rebates • Used when recommending an improvement based off of a visual inspection • Must use correct NYSERDA Measure code • See HPXML guide: http://psdconsulting.com/software/tr eat/treat-hpxml-programs/
Third Party Certifications • Program Requirement to collect (Energy-Star) and other Third Party Certifications • Data can be entered using the “certificates” button • Year, Make, and Model • Optional for many items, see NYSERDA guidance. • Use “Equip Info” button on corresponding TREAT section. • Appliance Third Party Certifications • Appliance certifications are shown by including the certification name in the appliance name. This is true for all appliances in the “appliance” section of TREAT. Certification is not case sensitive. See http://psdconsulting.com/software/treat/treat-hpxml-programs/
Diagnosing Portal Errors • Measure 'meas171_192' contains an invalid MeasureCode: NYSERDA_ChimneysLinersAndCaps • contractor_email_address: Value is required. • systems[32].hvacducting.: Preexisting system (dist100) missing required fields: sealed • systems[32].hvacducting.leakage_test_metho d: Value is required. • systems[32].hvacducting.sealed: Value is required. • systems[33].hvacducting.: Recommended system (dist100_192) missing required fields: sealed • systems[33].hvacducting.leakage_test_metho d: Value is required. • systems[33].hvacducting.sealed: Value is required.
Other Items to Note • We recommend using the NEW BUILDING WIZARD for nearly all of your single family models • Attic Surface Insulation: • NYSERDA portal requires modeling different attic surfaces (different insulation values) in a different improvement. • Multiple Improvements can still be combined in a package • Frame Floors: • NYSERDA guidelines reject file uploads if a frame floor is improved over a basement. Users cannot insulate a floor above a basement.
