MPO Studies Update ‐ e) Bike and Pedestrian Plan Update a) • Jurisdictional Meetings to be scheduled in late Feb/early March • Bike/Ped Plan Update Kick ‐ off meeting scheduled for March 26, 2014 at Central Library • Scheduled for November 2014 adoption Household, Freight, Bike Ped and Transit Travel Survey, b) • Transit On Board Survey completed in December 2013 ‐ data checks underway • Household Survey Started in Jan 2014 – go until April/ May2014 • Freight Survey and Bike Ped Survey ‐ Start in Spring 2014, • include stakeholder interview of at least 100 freight companies/ agencies ‐ transportation providers (truck, air, water, and rail), shippers, 3PL providers, warehouse/distribution operators, commercial real estate firms, economic development professionals, and government officials Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan Update – in house update MPO Staff and MATA staff c) Air Quality State Implementation Plan (SIP) Amendment – Shelby County Health f) Department 3

Vacancy Clause • Article IV, #5 – Should the office of Chairperson or Vice ‐ Chairperson become vacant, the TPB shall, at its next regular meeting, elect a successor for the unexpired term of office. Attendance Clause • Article VI, # 5 – Each member shall be expected to attend each regular meeting. When voting members (or their authorized alternates) do not attend three (3) consecutive MPO meetings, the Memphis Urban Area MPO Administrator will send to the chief elected officer of the jurisdiction of the member in question, a letter indicating the number of absences and requesting reaffirmation or re ‐ designation of the jurisdiction’s representative. 6

ITEM 9: CMAQ Project Overview • TDOT announced the request for 2014 CMAQ project proposals on January 17, 2014 • TN Jurisdictions/Agencies were notified by MPO on January 21, 2014 • Total of 7 project proposals received :  4 City of Memphis  2 Shelby County (Shelby County Congestion Management Program)  1 City of Memphis, MLGW & Dillon Transport (Public ‐ Private Partnership)  Total CMAQ Funding Request: $11,187,000  FY 2014: $5,387,000  FY 2015: $915,000  FY 2016: $4,885,000 • TDOT will announce projects selected for funding in April 2014 16
