The first supercar designed was given a name as Panthera. The Panthera is like the eldest brother in the Proton’s supercar series family. Having a first chassis design from Lotus Evora. The exterior body is 90% new design from Proton Design Team (PDT) with some combination from McLaren design team. The Panthera was designed with a minimalistic “less is more” philosophy in mind. This philosophy dictates that the shape and form of the car has to be purely functional, with no added features except those needed to meet regulations or enhance aerodynamics, safety, ergonomics, and practicality. The name was taken from a scientific name of big cats family / tiger which is a symbol of Proton – the tiger head in a roar position. Panthera is a genus of the family Felidae (cats), which contains four well-known living species: the tiger, the lion, the leopard, and the jaguar.
Pantherinae – The elite family of big cats; while Superveloce means masculine. Pantherinae Superveloce is an elite supercar with a masculine body shape and form. The Pantherinae Superveloce is the result of Proton endless pursuit for perfection. The Pantherinae Superveloce has handsome proportions. It is compact and muscular. Its timeless, efficient and distinctive shape is a true testament to good design. The Pantherinae manages to stay true to the philosophy, shape and size of the original Panthera. At the same time it looks, feels and performs like something belonging to the future.
SPECIAL EDITION The Pantherinae Superveloce(SV) Special Edition is a lightweight version of Pantherinae Superveloce. It has a different variety of series like the Pantherianae Cats Family.The Subfamily Pantherinae includes the seven big cats which are all grouped into the Panthera lineage. These are the true 'big cats' that everyone is familiar with - Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Jaguar, Snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard and the recently discovered species the Sunda Clouded Leopard.
This series of cars; Reventador comes with a variety of colour for a different type of series. The colour and design of its interior is align with the colour of its exterior. The Reventador is designed with an influence from one volcano of the same name. The philosophy from this influence is the beautiful at outside and the powerful inside. This philosophy determine the beautiful shape of exterior body of Reventador, with powerful engine and brake horse power. We believe that when this philosophy is followed, the car will be as beautiful as it is purposeful.
The 2013 Regera was created specifically as a tribute to 500 years of the age of Reventador Volcano. Although sharing the same values and philosophies as previous Reventador models, the 2013 Reventador Regera takes the Reventador experience to a completely new level. Similar to all previous Reventador supercars, the new Regera is the brainchild of Muhammad Asmuni. The Regera sets new benchmarks for supercars when it comes to speed, control, handling, comfort, practicality and sheer driving enjoyment, while combining these features with efficient, clean, and beautiful design.
