Background to Strategic Review ➢ 20yr anniversary for HHT building ➢ Building & infrastructure repair & maintenance requirements ➢ Review covered: ❖ Organisational Structure, Management & Finance; ❖ Balance of use of HHT by TTC, other theatrical societies, Community & Business Hires ❖ Membership consultation via on-line survey, including ▪ Membership demographics ▪ Satisfaction with Quality of Venue, Service, Theatrical Productions & Creative Programme ▪ Value for Money ▪ Suggestions for Improvement
Key Findings from Strategic Review ➢ Develop & Implement rolling 10 yr Business Plan ➢ Simplify Membership categories ➢ Expand Marketing & Publicity functions, esp. Digital Media ➢ Consider electronic distribution of Theatre magazine ➢ Redecorate Foyer to be more welcoming/interesting ➢ Review Bar management & operation ➢ Reconsider Auditorium production run cycle start/end ➢ Formalise a coordinated programme of improvement initiatives ➢ Set up teams: New Membership, Sponsorship, Community Outreach
Member Survey - Headline data We invited 759 people – 347 were Full Members, 412 were Audience Members 475 people responded ( 65% ) Full Members (69%)/Audience(62%); 90% full completion, 10% partial; Approx. 40 people left their contact details – several were followed-up Ave. time to complete the 20 Q’s was just 7 mins

What Actions have we already started? 1. New 10 yr Business Plan – In place, and on annual review cycle (Joe Stockwell, Mike Elgey, John Gilbert) 2. Social Media & Publicity – New Press Officer, Christine Wayman, has instigated an expanded Social Media Plan. Increased activity on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram to promote current productions 3. Review of the Bar services – Loz Keal has agreed to lead this review; Already met with Bar Committee 4. Cleanliness – We have a new Cleaning Contractor 5. Box Office Software review – Undertaken. Advantageous to stick with Positickets…for now 6. Simplifying Membership categories – Completed. Small amendments only (no fee changes)
What new Initiatives do we wish to start? 1. Community Outreach – One of our core mandates 2. Sponsorship /Brand Awareness/Fundraising 3. Social Media teams & participation 4.
