Web Browsers Connect device to Internet Allows device to locate, retrieve, and display content links, web pages, images, videos and other files Although a device may come with a certain web browser, you can add others and even change the default one Examples: Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Internet Explorer (and now Edge with Windows 10 Opera Safari
Search engines Used to find information on Internet, working within the web browser Certain web browsers may have default search engines; however, you can change the default to another Websites may have search engines built in which take you to places within the site Examples of search engines: Google Bing Yahoo Ask.com Dogpile
The Cloud Anything that is online and stored. Cloud is actually a type of computer (server) who holds data. Any account that you have with a username and password probably has stuff of yours stored on their computer. Examples: Google Amazon Facebook Dropbox YouTube Email Apple

Computer Virus and Malware Malware Virus Program that spreads among Malicious software computers Gain access or damage computer Can corrupt or delete data, or can without your knowledge use email program to contact Types include spyware, keyloggers, others true viruses or worms Spread by attachments or Can profit through forced downloads advertising (adware), stealing information (spyware), spreading spam or pornography, or extort money (ransomware)
Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Wireless routers Wi-Fi is a wireless connection to network Free Wi-Fi spots in shopping malls, libraries, schools, restaurants and more A Wi-Fi spot is also referred to as a Hotspot Your cellphone can be a hotspot in some cases A wireless router connects to the Internet and sends radio signals to your device
Cellular and Cellular data Cellular is the way that smartphones and some tablets connect to the Internet using a cellular provider such as AT&T , Verizon, Sprint etc. Available virtually everywhere Requires a built in modem (cellular modem) User has to pay for data, which is the amount of information (in bytes) that were transferred Heavy data uses include streaming media (videos and music) and games
Streaming media You can watch TV, movies or listen to music online by streaming Streaming means that it is downloading as it is playing. This requires data, but does not require storage. Internet connection is needed. Some examples: Netflix NBC TV Pandora HBO Go

Internet of Things Connecting multiple devices with your smartphone and computer Devices include appliances, camera, cars, devices Uses in travel, healthcare, home automation, etc.
