Phase 1. Strategic Thinking Board & President Share planning purposes and processes with Board & college constituencies SP&IA Team Cost Analysis & Environmental Scan Review Team SWOT Analysis Institutional Review: Focus Groups Vision, Mission, (Internal and External) Institutional Goals and Objectives, Values Appreciative Inquiry
Phase 2. Direction and Goal Development Develop Strategic Goals & Objectives/Set strategic directions and initiatives Board review, comments and feedback from campus constituencies Define/Identify institutional performance measures/indicators/benchmarks Compile first draft of strategic plan Board review, comments and feedback from campus constituencies Board approval, share Finalize Strategic Plan with campus constituencies
Phase 3. Implementation and Integration Operational Plan (Annual Cycle) Board, County and State Approval of budget Identify focus areas for year Communicate plan to campus constituencies End-of-Year Review Budget priorities Institutional & Academic Assessment Division and department level Mid-Year Review goals and action plans Resource Allocation
Phase 4. Monitor and Evaluate Mid-Year Review End-of-Year Review Monitor Implementation and Progress Revise plans as necessary Communicate Document Annual Results with campus constituencies
