Project Need The Mariposa Port of Entry is one of the busiest cargo ports along the U.S.- Mexico border and traffic volumes on State Route 189 (SR 189) are continuing to increase. Improvements are needed to accommodate the increasing volume of traffic safely and efficiently. 2

Project Purpose The purpose of the project is to improve vehicular access, circulation, and mobility to reduce vehicle conflicts on SR 189 from the Mariposa POE to Grand Ave. 3
