Intersection Project • Part of larger resurfacing project on SR 758 • Initiated by FDOT in 2015 • Three Alternatives Considered 1. No Build SIGNALIZED INTERSECTON IMPROVEMENT 2. Signalized Intersection ROUNDABOUT Improvements 3. Roundabout • Public input resulted in moving forward w/#2 • Currently at 60% design 2
Roundabout Alternative • Option to reconsider roundabout ‒ FDOT finalize design of signalized intersection improvement; ‒ County to conduct additional public outreach on roundabout improvement; ‒ If preferred, County fund design of roundabout for FDOT by October 2021. Design is estimated to cost $360,000; and POINTS OF CONFLICT IN ‒ FDOT fund construction of all ALTERNATIVES improvements beginning in Spring 2 AND 3 2022. 3
Recommendation ROUNDABOUT Move forward with a public workshop and/or other means of obtaining public input on the viability of a roundabout improvement. SIGNALIZED INTERSECTON IMPROVEMENT 4
