Weekly Schedules - Adjusted Wednesday ● In order to prioritize live instruction, Wednesdays during weeks that are less than 5 days will become another instructional day, and virtual check-ins will not occur. ● The missing day of the week will be held on Wednesday in place of the typical Wednesday check-in schedule.

  22. Reporting Student Absence If a student is absent from school, please report the absence by doing one of the following: • Call the main office at (240)740-1200 • Email the Attendance Secretary at nancy_slocum@mcpsmd.org • Fill out the attendance form on the FMS website homepage • Absences will be reconciliated daily by the Attendance Secretary

  24. Fill out this form and select one of options under “Contribution to Learning” to have your student reported as present. If your student has not completed one of the options within 72 hours, then you student’s absence will be recorded as excused or unexcused. SELECT CONTRIBUTION TO LEARNING OPTION

  28. What does the PTA do for school instruction? IXL for mathematics and English. Students are provided username to gain fluency and confidence in math! IXL helps students master essential skills at their own pace through fun and interactive questions, built in support, and motivating awards Brian Pop is used by teachers to make learning visible through tools that challenge students to reflect, make connections, and engage in deeper curiosity. Other materials provided include : Smart Music, Screencastify, Virtual Field Trips, and English Novels

  29. Join and Donate When you join the PTA, donate to the PTA Direct Appeal at the same time! Our goal is $20,000, which we will use to directly fund various programs, enrichment materials, equipment, supplies (including PPE), social events (hopefully in the spring), and any other events important to our school.
