Remote Learning Plan and the IEP Remote Learning Plan (RLP) This document describes the means by which the IEP will be provided in emergency conditions, as described in Section 46392, in which instruction or services, or both, cannot be provided to the pupil at either the school or in person for more than 10 school days. Prior Written Notices Pasadena Unified School District is committed to servicing our students to the greatest extent possible given school closure challenges. SB 98, recently enacted as emergency legislation requiring school districts to address how they will implement various IEP components under “emergency conditions.” A prior Written Notice will be sent out to each Special Education student because we know that school closures will be for more than 10 days. IEPs during Emergency Conditions IEPs ● Virtual meetings ● Electronic signature function ● Initial evaluations-PUSD is continuously collaborating with entities regarding evaluation methods in order to address child find responsibilities. ● Many Triennial evaluations cannot be completed ● Some Triennials can be completed through a “Record Review.” The district and the parents must be in agreement.
