The detail The Group’s primary outputs will be: • A map of FM and client input required in all stages of the design and construction process • A handover Soft Landings process from construction to FM • A robust post-completion proving period The FM Soft Landings Task Group will comprise Government FM practitioners, suppliers and industry bodies The group will be run by the Government Property Unit and accountable to the Government Construction Board The kick-off meeting is on 17 th October Some User Group members have been appointed to help 6 The built environment experts
- Contribute to the target of up to 20% reduction in construction costs by the end of the parliament. This group will support it through: This is a tricky association. SL is about improving performance and energy use (and thereby costs) rather than about reducing costs per se. - Delivering alignment of design / construction with operation and asset management within government construction using the UBT/BSRIA Soft Landings Framework through: We don’t call it the UBT / BSRIA Soft Landings Framework .
