  1. During our assembly this morning the Steering Group / School Council would like to share with you the impact and purpose of the RRSA and celebrate the “Rights Respecting” work that all pupils at Grimsdyke have been involved with over the school year .

  2. Our first aim in the Rights Respecting Steering Group is to inform all students, staff and parents about “Rights and Responsibilities”. Secondly we are promoting decisions based on “Rights and Responsibilities” across the whole school. By working through the RRSA we believe that the impact of this is an overall improvement in achievement, attendance and behaviour.

  3. In order to promote the ethos of Rights Respecting across the school the steering group has set a number of challenges for the whole school to participate in such as: • Class Charters – Including the new “Playground Charter” • The “Cinderella” Story • Designing Rights Champions – “Mascots” • School Display Labels Links • Article 28 Class Challenge • Infant and Junior Class Assemblies • Charity support – Day for Change / Red Nose Day • Development of a “Rights Respecting” Fronter Room

  4. In order to promote the ethos of the RRSA we have a “Right of the Week” which is shared in Assemblies and discussed in classes. This allows all students good coverage of all the “Rights”. We also link our “Right of the Week” to some National Awareness Days. This display reflects Article Around the school the students have also place these bubbles @@ of the UNCRC . In which link different displays and class we... work that has ben completed to a variety of links. It proves us with evidence of how we can link RRSA to almost every Curriculum Area.

  5. Developed over an extended period of time between the Student Council and students across the school. The charter was developed to allow all stakeholders to take “Rights Respecting” out into the playground and apply it as individuals to situations beyond the classroom. Prove to be successful with the staff and students using it effectively during break times.

  6. To end our Assembly we have prepared a quiz for you to see if you have been listening…
