BACKGROUND DOEE offers financial incentives to install green roofs: RiverSmart Rooftops – rebates of $10 to $15 per square foot Stormwater Retention Credit Trading ‐ sell SRCs to development sites RiverSmart Rewards – discounts on a property’s stormwater fees New Stormwater Management Regulations 1.2” retention requirement • Green roofs can be a cost ‐ effective means to meet regulatory • requirements if incorporated in early phases of design
