What did you learn? • I learned what a Seder is. • I learned about sexism in the medical field in the 70s! • How much I take for granted that Wi-Fi and technology are second nature to me. • Just to take things day by day. • I learned a lot about the evolution of women's rights throughout history and how the chronology is divided into different waves. It's interesting how changes in society's needs were pivotal in shifting women's historical gender role. • Empathy
Mobile app development • Mon Ami: Millennial entrepreneurs • Leverage partner relationships • Potential for scale
Programs online • Virtual Improv Theater • Shelter in love • Meditation and tai chi • Oral storytelling • Intergenerational Experience Exchange
Age Self Care • Partner with UCSF • Educational curriculum • Agency, resilience, internalized ageism, purpose, caregiving
Village Movement CA • Convening villages weekly • Problem solving • Skill building • Strategizing
Rural Villages • Humboldt, Mendocino, Nevada Counties • Inter-agency partnerships • Broadband challenges
Pasadena Village • Technology pivot • Caregiving • Partnership with USC • Age Friendly Community
Discussion • Prolonged shelter-in- place • Technology challenges
We envision a society where all stages of life offer meaningful opportunities for growth, connection, and joy; where people of all backgrounds and economic means can age with dignity, purpose, and self-determination.
