  3. Roles & Responsibilities • Executive Sponsor • Senior Leader • Project Leader • Ward Leaders (includes nursing, allied health, physicians, unit clerks, administrative staff, etc.) • External Facilitator (e.g. QI, Lean) • Patients & Family Members

  4. Setting Up a Steering Committee – Members Regional vs. Local Steering • Executive Leader • Project Leader • Clinical Director • Quality Improvement Representative • Finance Representative • Frontline Leaders • Interdisciplinary Members • BCNU

  5. Steering Committee – Responsibilities • Meet monthly to: ₋ Review progress ₋ Offer direction, expertise & support ₋ Maintain forward momentum • Assist with communications • Help with barriers • Participate in audits • Visit the unit regularly

Communications Plan • Vital to success • Nothing beats face-to-face! • Consider the following: ₋ Who needs to know? ₋ Why do you want them to know? ₋ How will this affect them? ₋ Do you need their help? ₋ What is your plan for communicating with all stakeholders? Getting Ready • Ensure protected time for RT2C • Identify & order needed supplies • Arrange for supply installation, if needed • Form a vision for your unit (include everyone!) • Find out what data is available to you • Take “before” pictures to help you see how far you’ve come • Prepare for your launch
