Introduction • London Borough of Croydon (LBC) as part of The High Streets project and its wider public realm strategy is proposing physical improvements to enhance ease of movement and connections across the centre • Project aims to extend the growth of footfall from the primary retail area (North End) outwards to ensure that activities in the central area do not contract and focus solely on the primary retail area • By working with business associations and residents the Council wishes to implement physical enhancements in a way that enhances the distinctive identities of each of the high street areas and that will help generate local, distinctive and strong offers
