Assessment • Types: learning logs, homework, ac/vi/es, discussions, reflec/on, group presenta/on, prac/ce quizzes We have been developing Key Assessment Tasks over the past year and have begun to embed them into day to day classroom prac/ce.

A Key Assessment Task is a planned, cross curricular assessment which incorporates the applica/on of skills developed and knowledge gained through a series of lessons or block of work. It allows the child , parent and teacher to comment on the progress made and be part of the overall assessment.

One of the most a_rac/ve features of Key Assessment Tasks is that it provides a snapshot of learning at different points throughout the year. This enables parents to be kept up to date with what is being assessed, progress made and comment on all of the above as part of an ongoing process. KATs are filed in the pupil profiles
