  1. Presentation of speakers “University for the Future – Creating a competitive environment for engineering students” Stavanger 14. June 2014 Thomas Olsson Olsson is working in academic development in the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. He is a Senior Lecturer and holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Thomas has an extensive experience in systems for rewarding excellent teaching; pedagogical aspects of tenure and promotion; and research projects in relation to excellence in teaching and learning. He has been a leading person during the development of a reward system in the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University – The Pedagogical Academy – which has had a profound impact on the culture of engineering education. Thomas has played an active role in the steering group of a national Swedish project on excellence in university teaching. He has held several workshops, seminars and key-notes about reward systems for excellence in university teaching, nationally and internationally.

  2. Alan Davidson Davidson is a Professor in Educational Research and holds the position as Dean for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching and Assessment at Robert Gordon University. His department leads development and support for online learning across the University. He has had extensive involvements in quality assurance and enhancement at the national and international levels. Berit Kjeldstad Kjeldstad is a Professor of Physics, and former Head of the Department of Physics, and has since 2009 held the position as Pro-rector NTNU. Kjeldstad is the Head of the Ministry of Education’s MOOC Committee in Norway which will present the final report in June 2014. Rasmus Lundgaard Christensen Rasmus Lundgaard Christensen studies Electrical Engineering, specializing in Control and Automation at Aalborg University. He will finish his studies in June, 2014. In 2013 he had an exchange to NTNU, Norway in 2013 through NORDTEK. Named “Student of the Year “ in 2013. Elect Student Member of the Academic Council, Faculty of Engineering and Science for 4 years. Christensen has been engaged in developing the curricula for the educations at the institute for Electronics and has been a part of the NORDTEK Student Network since 2010.

  3. Gunnar Stefansson Stafansson is a Professor of Statistics at University of Iceland. Gunnar Stefansson is a Professor of Statistics at the University of Iceland. His research areas are in applied statistics, with an emphasis on statistical models in marine science as well as experimental design and models in web-assisted education. Dorina Gnaur Dorina Gnaur holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and is currently Assistant Professor at the Dpt. of Learning and Philosophy at Aalborg University. She has a particular interest in engineering education since her affiliation, during 1½ year, with the Dpt. of Civil Engineering at Aalborg University, with the purpose of conducting collaborative research and development with focus on pedagogic innovation. Together with engineering colleagues, she has written conference papers and articles on the subjects of interdisciplinary learning, professional competences and technology supported learning in the context of engineering education

  4. Jan Gulliksen Gulliksen is professor in Human Computer Interaction, and Dean of the School of Computer Science and Communication, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He is also the chairman of the Swedish Committee for Digitization and Digital Champion of Sweden. Henrik Sunde Henrik Jesman Sunde is the CEO and cofounder of Zoaring, an innovative company within learning and communications. Zoaring provides short video scribbling movies to the corporate market, and also heads a collaborative research project within adaptive learning.
