What we’re going to do: Use a qualitative case study approach to: 1. Examine how local and provincial policies and programs interact with and impact PHAs’ abilities to manage their health and wellbeing; and 2. Highlight policies and programs that can be used as models across jurisdictions in BC.
Three case study communities: Prince George Kamloops Greater Vancouver
What we’ll look at
What we hope to accomplish • Team capacity building in community-based research • First project of this size led by PAN • Fill a gap: there’s a lack of BC-specific information on the interaction between individuals’ experiences, health outcomes and housing programs and policies • Highlight strengths - document policies and programs that can be used as models across jurisdictions in BC and beyond • Promote greater access to suitable, affordable and culturally appropriate housing services • Actionable outcomes to enhance the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV/AIDS throughout the province
