Oakfield Academy Tracking Pupil Progress against FFT for Intervention Strategies AMUG March 2014
Middle School Criteria • Import data from feeder First Schools • Test pupils in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science • Moderate First School vs test data, as an Autumn benchmark • Identify G&T pupils • Download KS2 Fischer Family Trust targets • Measure pupil progress against FFT • Identify pupils who need booster groups to reach FFT
Year 5 Autumn – test and progress from KS1
Year 5 Autumn – identify G&T and download FFT KS2 targets
Copy FFT targets into our own aspect
Copy FFT targets into our own aspect
FFT targets can now be used in formulae
Investigate pupil data to see how far they are from FFT targets We find the points difference between: Y5 Autumn Reading level & Y6 Summer KS2 FFT Reading target Then divide by 2 to find the number of levels difference
Aspect: Reading Success At Year 5 Autumn a pupil should be 4 sub-levels away from their Year 6 Summer KS2 FFT target This aspect works out how far away from FFT pupils are and colour codes the aspect for intervention
Aspect: Reading Success Key: If a pupil is 4 sub-levels away, they are on target and the cell goes green If a pupil is <4 then they may exceed target and the cell goes blue If a pupil is >4 they might not make it and the cell goes red
Reading Success aspect: who is not on track for FFT?
More evident in lower sets NB one pupil without FFT
Repeat this exercise for Reading, Writing and Maths
Tally interventions for each pupil
Head of KS2 assigns interventions
Repeat each half term
