Thursday 20 th Feb Arrival times Departing JFK on 19/02/2020 at 6:30pm Flying with Virgin Atlantic on flight VS 128 Arriving Manchester on 20/02/2020 at 6:15am Please complete return home sheet from Manchester airport before leaving.
What to bring??? Warm Clothes (gloves, coat, hat and scarf) • Lots of layers! • Travel adapter for the USA • Comfortable shoes/trainers • £20-£50 ($30-$65) a day spending money • 1 hand luggage and 1 suitcase (23kg) • $30 for subway tickets • $30 for evening meal + Central Park Optional Activity I always recommend bringing a spare outfit in your hand luggage just in case!
Holiday Inn Financial District 99 Washington St, New York, NY 10006, United States Rooms for 3 nights. Most everything you want to see is just a short walk away: 9/11 memorial, One World Trade Centre, Staten Island Ferry, Chinatown and Little Italy.
DAY TO DAY ITINERARY!
Sunday 16 th February 5:30pm expected time of arrival to Holiday Inn 6:30pm Leave the hotel and walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. 8:30pm Meal in Gelso & Grand. Back to the hotel for a much needed rest for the days ahead!
Monday 17 th February 7am GET UP! 7:30- 8:30am Breakfast in the hotel For 9-11:30am Subway to Central Park spend in the park for walking, cycling, ice skating (optional extra approx $20 for ice skating and $10 for cycling) 11:30-2pm walk down 5th Avenue for shopping and lunch. 2pm Meet at the top of the Rock for our tour starting at 2:30pm 4pm Walk to the NYC Library and spend a short time in the NYC Library 4:45pm Subway down from Library to Chelsea 5:30pm Chelsea to Walk the High Line 6:30-7:30pm Retail opportunities in the Macy’s area and at 7:30 walk to the diner. 8:00-9:30pm Arrive for an evening meal at Ellen’s Stardust diner 9:30pm BACK TO THE HOTEL.
Tuesday 18 th February 7am GET UP! 7:30- 8:30am Breakfast in the hotel 9am Walk to the Staten Island Ferry and take return ferry in which we will see the Statue of Liberty. 11:00am Walk to the 9/11 memorial 11:30pm 9/11 memorial for a self guided visit. 12:00-1:30pm Westfields Shopping Centre for lunch and retail experiences 1:30pm Walk back to the hotel for shower and change 3:00pm subway to Times Square 4-5pm Times Square for photo opportunities. 5-6:30pm Meal at Bubba Gump. 7pm Mean Girls Broadway Show at the Theatre BACK TO THE HOTEL
Wednesday 19 th February 7am GET UP! 7:30- 8:30am Breakfast in the hotel 9am check out of hotel rooms and store bags 9:30am Group to get the subway to Union Square 10:30am-1:30pm SOHO via Washington Square Park for Site Seeing, Shopping Time and lunch . 1:30pm Subway back to the hotel 2:30pm Group will be met at the hotel by the coach and load luggage ready for departure. 3pm Depart for transfer to the airport. 3:55pm Check in at JFK International Airport for Virgin Atlantic flight VS128. 6:55pm Flight departs JFK
Thursday 20 th February 6:15 hrs Arrive at Manchester International Airport, Terminal 2 (local time) Make sure students have arrangements to get home.

Student Contact while in NY We require the phone numbers which the students are using on the trip tonight. They will be destroyed on arrival in Manchester.
What do we do next? ESTA’s should have been applied for and we should have received a copy of the approval . We require the passports and ESTA’s no later than Friday 31 st January.
