Chairmans Report 2014 • Election of Judith Balding + David Bateman • Resignation of David Eaglesham Finance Officer • Co-option of Adrian Drage • Alpine repaired various properties in the village • Alpine progressing move to Walworth • Village projects failed to find enough volunteers • Flooding of land and gardens in the December – April • Problems with the Pumping station • Flood committee formation • Progress with traffic • No resolution of the Nelson lorry issue to date • Progress at Manor Farm
Traffic 2013/14 NEW SIGNS & BOLLARDS • New HGVs signs on Monxton Road • Horse & Rider (Broad Rd & Abbotts Ann Rd) • Junction (Abbotts Ann Rd for Chalkpit La) • Road Narrows (by Lilac Cottage) • Bend Ahead (Broad Rd) • Bollards on village green • Bollards on small green and Monxton Manor (summer 2014) NELSON LORRIES • Requests to Nelson Lorries & the Langdowns for one-way system – weekly reminders, nearly always ignored ALPINE GROUP LORRIES • Planning policy altered at allow small housing scheme CO-OP LORRIES • Meeting with TVBC & Coop – December 2013 SPEEDING • Community Speedwatch Scheme - Need £2500 from MPC and min. 6 volunteers • Extending speed limit zones - Broad Road & Green Lane (2016 and beyond) • Rural pilot scheme for 20mph zones - Monxton shortlisted but unsuccessful

Portable Speed Sign Indicator • Displays speeds of vehicles • Records speeds and time • Would be shared with 2 other parishes • HCC (fines fund) would provide a £1,000 • The balance would be split between 3 PCs approx. £650/PC • MPC may need to purchase outright, Total cost £2,600 plus pay TVBC £260 to move between agreed locations per move

Planning • Upper Mill House - The decision on the weir application is pending as Emma the Case Officer has not had replies from some of the consultees and is chasing this up. She hope that the documentation will be in place for the next meeting on the 7th July, if not it won't be heard until the 31st July. • Langley - Refusal due to the impact on the Conservation Area - letter to applicant is going out this week. • Alpine – New Site agreed in the Walworth estate and the same developer will then develop the Manor farm site subject to getting planning permission. Meeting with MPC will be held in June with all parties.
