Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) Feed • Pivotel can provide Short Burst Satellite Data Services which are 2 way, message based, data services that use Short Burst Data (SBD) modems devices for SCADA, tracking, alarm and sensor monitoring, telemetry and environmental monitoring. • Short Bust Data messages are sent directly to the VAR application as a device report. These reports are delivered as an XML document, from the Pivotel Services Gateway (PSG) directly to the VAR server, thus no special integration with the satellite network is required. • Features: – Small form factor offering – Pole-to-pole global coverage – Single-board transceiver 7
Globalstar Simplex Data Feed • Pivotel Simplex Satellite Data Services are message based data services that use satellite simplex devices for remote area tracking, alarm and sensor monitoring, telemetry, security applications, and environmental monitoring. • Simplex Satellite Data Services are sent directly to a Value Added Reseller (VAR) application in the format of a device report. These devices reports are delivered as an XML document from the Pivotel Services Gateway (PSG) directly to the VAR server, making satellite network integration simple.
