The Role of IRFs / RCPs Regional level actors, including Intra-Regional Forums on Migration (IRFs ) and Regional Consultative Processes on migration (RCPs) , can be instrumental in the implementation and review of the SDGs Involvement of RCPs / IRFs in:  Migration and development – 14  Labour migration – 18, incl. remittances – 5  Counter-trafficking – 13  Migrant rights – 11

The Role of IRFs / RCPs Recent IOM survey (August–September 2016) Among 14 respondents - 7 (50%) have discussed SDGs or 2030 Agenda during their 2016 meetings Almaty Process, ARCP, Bali Process, Budapest Process, Colombo Process, MIDWA, Pan-African Forum - 9 RCPs / IRFs have projects / activities in support of SDGs Almaty Process, ARCP, Bali Process, Budapest Process, Colombo Process, MIDSA, Prague Process, Puebla Process, Pan-African Forum

Second 2016 IDM Workshop “Assessing progress in the implementation process of migration related SDGs” 11-12 October 2016, Geneva • IDM, itself multi stakeholder consultation mechanism on migration, is IOM’s principal platform for policy dialogue which provides a space to analyse current and emerging issues in migration governance and to exchange experiences, policy approaches and effective practices. • around 300 participants • in-depth discussions on how best to act in a collective and coordinated way, both at national, regional and international levels, to implement the migration-related SDGs.

Main outcomes of the Second 2016 IDM Workshop relevant for RCPs and Regional actors • RCPs reported at IDM for the first time: • 4 RCP Chairs ( 5+5 Dialogue on Migration , Arab RCP , Puebla Process , and Rabat Process ) illustrated how the implementation of the SDGs is seen from a regional prospective and their role in supporting states in this process. • emphasized the role that RCPs can play to support the implementation of migration-related SDGs well as review and follow-up of their progress in achieving the migration goals and targets.
