6 th Grade Required Core Courses All placement determined by school personnel • Foundations of Algebra • Part I (Grade 6)- Math 6 SOL ; or • Part II (Grade 6 accelerated)- Math 7 SOL • English/Language Arts Reading SOL • Science • Social Studies- United States History to 1865
6 th Grade Required Courses • Health/PE • Exploratory Wheel • Introduction to Career Exploration • Art • Introduction to Technology • Exploration of Theatre Arts
Elective Courses Courses students can choose from to complete their daily schedule
6 th Grade Electives Students select one of the following courses with an alternate • General Music • Beginning Choir • Beginning Band • Intermediate Band • Beginning Orchestra • Intermediate Orchestra • Guitar • Introduction to World Languages
