  3. We Believe That: * All children can learn. * All children are special. * The community, including parents, staff, and students, through support, guidance, and communication, is integral to the learning process in our schools. * Parents and staff have the responsibility of providing a variety of motivational approaches which challenge students and encourage them to be successful. * An atmosphere of encouragement, in which all children are treated with respect, their opinions are valued, and kindness and support are modeled behaviors, inspires students to take pride in themselves and their school. * Discipline, as a positive, structured format for behavior, is necessary to accomplish the educational goals of our district. * Schools must be flexible and innovative to prepare our students for the challenges of the twenty-first century. * Cultural diversity of the district and the uniqueness of the individual should be respected.
