The region has put forward a comprehensive and balanced plan • February 2014: Province of BC directs Mayors’ Council to prepare 10-year plan to form basis of referendum • June 2014: Mayors’ Council adopts Transportation and Transit Plan • December 2014: Regional revenue approach and ballot language agreed upon by Mayors and Province Mayors’ Council Transportation and Transit Plan Approved June 12, 2014

Meeting the Needs of Growth, Improving Mobility The Mayors’ Plan will increase the percentage of the • region with access to the Frequent Transit Network , even as the region grows by 1 million more residents. • By 2045, 70% the region’s residents will be within walking distance of high-quality transit service arriving at least every 15 minutes, throughout the entire day and into the evening.

  6. The Plan is funded by both users and taxpayers The Plan calls for a $7.5 billion capital investment in the region’s transportation network. Metro Vancouver Transportation & Transit Plebiscite • Voters to weigh in on Mayors’ Plan and funding approach via plebiscite • Plebiscite administered by Elections BC • Householder with more details on plan to be mailed in mid-February. • Ballot to be mailed to registered voters in early March • Mail-in voting period: March 16 to May 29, 201 • Results available 3-4 weeks after close of voting
