Policy Update • Promote industry-wide use of the HUD-9911 Certificate of Housing Counseling as evidence of housing counseling completion • Incorporate housing counseling in the Uniform Residential Loan Application • Encourage use of HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agencies in external programs • Publish models of how state and local fees can be directed to housing counseling • Toolkit regarding payment of housing counseling fees at mortgage closing 19
