Lake Park Elementary School SAC Meeting Minutes: November 20, 2019 Opening: The regular meeting of the Lake Park Elementary SAC Committee was called to order on November 20, 2019 by Kelly Williams at 6:04 pm. Roll Call and Determination of Quorum: A. Approval of Minutes Mrs. Kelly Williams, SAC Chairperson, reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting. A motion was made to approve the minutes by Marisella Readon and was seconded by Blanca Addison. The SAC minutes from the previous meeting (10/27/2019) were approved by a unanimous vote. B. Adoption of Agenda Agenda was distributed at sign in and was unanimously approved as distributed. C. Old Business There was no old business to discuss from the previous SAC meeting. D. New Business 1. Teachers from each grade level team reviewed grade level reports, updates, and announcements for the following grade levels. (Detailed reports for each grade level and subject area are available on the SAC PowerPoint which will also be available on the school website after each SAC meeting.) - Pre-K: Mrs. Williams provided updates information for students in Pre-K. - Kindergarten: Mrs. Addison provided updates and information for students in Kindergarten. - First Grade: Mrs. Ehlers provided updates and information for students in first grade. - Second Grade: Mrs. provided updates and information for students in second grade. - Third Grade: Mrs. Williams provided updates and information for students in third grade. - Fourth Grade: Ms. Dean provided updates and information for students in fourth grade. - Fifth Grade: Ms. Dean provided updates and information for students in grade five. - Fine Arts: Mrs. Connors provided updates and information for all FIne Arts classes. 2. SAC FUNDING REQUESTS: ● EasyCBM : $79.98 was requested by Monique Lambrou in order to purchase the Teacher Deluxe easyCBM package. This resource will be used to provide students who require supplemental and/or intensive support with the appropriate resources. The program includes Benchmark assessments, Common Core aligned measures, and more forms for Progress Monitoring for teachers to effectively track student progress. The Teacher Deluxe membership also includes template-based interventions log, additional reports, and student retention feature. Marisella Readon made a motion to vote to approve the funding request. Evan Girodet seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. Lake Park Elementary School SAC Meeting Minutes: November 20, 2019 ● LPE Rugs: $535.00 was requested by Michelle Fleming in order to purchase new school rugs with the updated school logo. Marisella Readon made a motion to vote to approve the funding request. Evan Girodet seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. ● Grade 5 Top Score Writing Digital Curriculum: $250.00 was requested by Monique Lambrou in order to purchase the grade 5 Top Score Writing Digital Curriculum. Betsy Landers made a motion to vote to approve the funding request. Muslande Jean-Louis seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. E. Leadership Reports: Michelle Fleming, Principal ● Reminded parents that students should arrive between 7:30 am and 7:45 am due to limited supervision prior to 7:30 am. ● 1st trimester report cards were sent home on Mon. 11/18/19 ● PBGHS will sponsor Hope for the Holidays Gift Giving on Dec. 6, 2019 ● SY20 iReady Reading Diagnostic Data Report (FALL - Window #1): ○ 24% of students are at risk for Tier 3 in reading ○ 55% of students scored at a Tier 2 in reading ○ 21% of students scored at a Tier 3 in reading ● Winter Diagnostics (K-5): ○ iReady Diagnostic #2 = December 2 - 20 ○ Winter Diagnostic {3-5} = Dec 2 - 13 ● After School Tutorial for 3-5 ELA & MATH will begin late January ● NO SCHOOL: ○ November 25th - 29th (Thanksgiving Break ) ○ December 23rd - January 6th (Winter Break) ○ January 20th (MLK Day) ● FUNFEST: Grades 3-5 December 20th ● PRISM Concert @ Dreyfoos HS: December 4th ● Music Department Winter Holiday Show: December 12th F.
