WHAT IS HAZARDOUS ALCOHOL CONSUMTION? • Weekly Woman - more than 9 standard glasses Men - more than 14 standard glasses • Binge drinking= 4 standard glasses or more (women), 5 standard glasses or more (men) on the same occasion
WHAT AFFECTS THE BLOOD ALCOHOL CONTENT? FOOD – eat properly, before and during drinking WEIGHT – body weight affects the blood alcohol level. GENDER – woman have generally a lower tolerance due to having lower amount of whater in their bodies. Med dilute to a grater extent. TIME – the more you drink in a short amount of time, the higher the blood alcohol level becomes. AMOUNT – on a single night, don´t drink more than 3-4 glasses to avoid intoxicative consumtion. STRENGTH – choose drinks with a low alcohol content.
