  2. Meeting objectives • Discuss proposed strategic objectives for the JCHC and the staff proposal to select and report on key metrics for those objectives • Prioritize potential study topics for the JCHC in 2021 • Determine the next steps to formally approve studies for 2021 2

  3. Members identified four strategic objectives during initial meetings Accessibility Affordability Equity Quality 3

  4. Strategic objectives can be incorporated into staff work • Staff will identify the primary strategic objectives that potential studies address • Staff will select metrics for each strategic objective and report/track these metrics annually • Include metrics in annual report • Provide a briefing to Members at the May meeting 4

Study Selection Process Early November Executive subcommittee reviews potential studies and identifies its highest priorities November/December Staff develops study resolutions for review and formal approval by Executive Subcommittee and full Commission January-March Staff tracks study resolutions during session and communicates with Members to determine if new studies need to be prioritized over existing work May Staff present annual work plan to the Commission 8
