  3. Youth • In line with demographic dividend as the window of opportunity to pursue Indonesian Golden Period (Indonesia emas) in the year 2045, BKKBN has been developing Genre program. The program focussing on the capacity building among youth with the knowledge on family planning and development, life skills and education, including reproductive health. • In Indonesia, we develop the center of information and counseling for youth (PIK Remaja) in schools, islamic boarding schools, and community. • As of April 2017, there are 21.244 groups of PIK Remaja in all over Indonesian provinces.

  4. Youth • We also develop youth family group empowerment (BKR) to provide IEC to the family who have youth to develop the harmoneus communication between parent and their youth on reproductive health issues. This program is designed to develop family resilience.

  5. Improving Adolescent’s Access to IEC on RH and FP program • Maximizing adolescent’s access to IEC on FP -RH will benefit to better understanding of young people towards RH issues; • Formal and non formal education share similar roles; • Adolescents require parental/ family guidance on population, FP and family development issues; • Establish information centers at school, community, as communication channels for adolescents; • Technology Information back-ups can prevent young people into vulnerable situation for misleading information on RH issues (esp. in urban area).

Key Strategies Advocates, FP-RH promotes to the government especially on action areas in the complimentary strategies: Commitment between all stakeholders for focusing the adolescent’s access to IEC on reproductive health and family planning in the urban context; Evidence based adolescent’s access to IEC on reproductive health and family planning; Epidemiological surveillance approach

  7. • Indonesia has been implementing SDG’s into the National Development, by inserting most of SDG’s indicators into the National Middle Term of the Development Planning (RPJMN) 2015- 2019 to achieve ‘Nawa Cita’. One of those indicators addresses to youth issues.
