INTRODUCTION TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOUSES FOR ADOLESCENTS (1/2) Born in 2008, with the following goals :  To support the development, throughout the French territory, of new houses for adolescents, in order to provide quality and homogeneous services.  Develop local reflections (regional, national and also European) regarding the houses for adolescents.

  4. INTRODUCTION TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEENAGERS’ HOUSES (2/2)  102 houses for adolescents were open in 2014  15 departments remain without devices  75% of houses for adolescents joined the National association

  5. WHAT IS A HOUSE FOR ADOLESCENTS? (1/3) The houses for adolescents are dedicated to teenagers, but also to their families and other professionals of different fields: health, education, justice, culture, sport ...

  6. WHAT’S A HOUSE FOR ADOLESCENTS ? (2/3) 1. Provide health response and, more broadly, care for teenagers by providing the most appropriate services for their needs and expectations that are not currently supported in the conventional devices. 2. Provide information , advice and assistance in developing a life plan for teenagers 3. Promote the continuous reception by multidisciplinary professionals, in order to facilitate access to health devices for teenagers who do not come in the most traditional circuits 4. Ensure the continuity and consistency of health care and paths 5. Be a resource place (information platform) in a given territory, for all the actors involved in adolescence field (parents, professionals, institutions) by creating a network between the proximity structures

  7. WHAT’S A HOUSE FOR ADOLESCENTS ? (3/3) The houses for adolescents missions and activities may vary depending on given territories. At the heart of the device :  a multidisciplinary assessment of situations,  the ability to provide (at least in on short terms), somatic and/or mental health cares  the possibility for a fast and suitable orientation if continuing care can only be achieved in the long term.

  8. A PROJECT BASED ON NETWORK LOGIC (1/3) The houses for adolescents are not intended to replace the existing structures on a territory, but rather seek to identify the existing offer and bring all partners to provide comprehensive responses for issues often intertwined.

A PROJECT BASED ON NETWORK LOGIC (2/3) Specification states :  be based on a diagnosis of the local situation: diagnosis of demographic and health situation of the population;  Conduct an inventory of existing offers: hospital, liberal supply of care facilities for teenagers and their families, associations, social services…  Reach agreement of the parties on the diagnosis.  Develop clear goals for the territory and provide an assessment of the operation Key stakeholders for adolescence must be associated to the development of the project and the governance of the houses for adolescents .

Sheltered houses for adolescents  Houses for adolescents sheltered by a public health institution.  Houses for adolescents sheltered by a private health facility.  Houses for adolescents issued by local administration (departments):

HOUSES FOR ADOLESCENTS : SOME ISSUES AND CHALLENGES FOR TOMORROW …  Include the houses for adolescents in the various health programs  Rise and sustain the funding allocated to the operation of houses for adolescents.  A circular signed by Prime Minister  Reconsider the operation of the national association as a "head network ", able to unite and represent a national movement to ensure a common set of services and goals in all houses for adolescents .
