  2. Art : Concept 4 passage Sainte-Avoye, Paris 0033 1 53 60 90 30 www.galerieartconcept.com Art : Concept gallery is pleased to announce its first participation in Miart art fair in Milan from March 31 to April 2, 2017. Our booth D14 will features works by artists Hubert Duprat, Richard Fauguet, Jacob Kassay, Adam McEwen, Peter Regli and Roman Signer. Hubert Duprat (b. Nérac, 1957) lives and works in Sauzet (France). His practice mainly focuses on sculpture and installation. Duprat often resumes unusual materials from applied arts and anachronistic practices. He also likes questioning the boundaries between natural and artificial materials and structures. In his long-term collaboration with the caddis larvae, Duprat brings this idea further, providing the larvae with the materials and then allowing them to freely build up small sculptures. NEWS: upcoming solo show at the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, in 2018. Richard Fauguet (b. La Châtre, 1962) lives and works in Châteauroux (France). He develops a protean practice - drawings, collages, rubbings, sculptures - that often works in series guided by the use of a specific material (paper silhouettes, burnt sheets, glass installations, postcards and pouring spouts). Using simple or everyday life materials, he revisits the so- called classical genres. He proposes an aesthetic renewal that blurs boundary-lines and goes beyond the traditional divide between high and low culture. Jacob Kassay (b. Lewiston, NY, 1984) lives and works in Los Angeles. Between painting and sculpture, Jacob Kassay’s conceptual pratice strongly focuses on perception and interaction with space and audience. Subjected to a strict and invariable production process that leads to apparent monochromes, his different series - from his electroplated paintings to his most recent immiscible acrylics - reveal their singularities in the interactions with their surrondings and the viewer. Far from the mechanical interpretation often applied to them, Jacob Kassay’s works highlight the element that disrupts iteration and introduces deficiency in the system. Adam McEwen (b. London, 1965) lives and works in New York City. His work moves freely between the disciplines of painting, sculpture and installation. He is well known for his life- sized graphite sculptures of such familiar consumer objects as an ATM, a water fountain or a credit card, his Bomber Harris series - monochromatic paintings covered with chewed gums - and his prints on sponges. NEWS: solo exhibition at the Aspen Art Museum in 2017. Peter Regli (b. Andermatt, 1959) lives and works in New York. He is best known for his ongoing project, Reality Hacking, a series of temporary and often anonymous interventions in the landscape and other public spaces that he initiated in the 1990s (over 300 interventions to date). But he also develops a more traditional sculptural practice with his marble snowmen. Roman Signer (b. Appenzell, 1938) lives and works in St.Gallen. Since the 1970s the artist questions the notion of sculpture. Even if Signer’s work encompasses the basic criteria of sculptural practice, it also integrates temporal and performative dimensions that make them more akin to action-sculptures or “basic experiences” as he likes to describe them. They are elemental on more than one account: because of the simplicity of the objects used (chair, table, clock, boots, kayak), because of the causal relations they materialize, and also because of the elements that they summon (water, wind, fire).
