The Intervi The Interview • All applicants meeting the minimum requirements are called for interview • Interviews take place in Dublin, Monday – Thursday, 4pm-9pm • Approx. 20 minutes long • Half English, half as Gaeilge • Most people who are unsuccessful fail the Irish element ( For suggested resources see: http://hiberniacollege.com/schoolofeducation/h-dip-in-arts-in-primary- education/faqs/ )

School Experience &Teaching Practice Structure • Three blocks of School Experience and Teaching Practice – TP1: 5 weeks (3 lessons per day) – TP2: 6 weeks (4 lessons per day) – TP3: 7 weeks (All day teaching) • In each block students receive a minimum of two supervised/graded visits • Support visits (ungraded) for students deemed to struggle
