Today’s Purpose 1. Engage with you on updating our Watershed Action Plan to help conserve and enhance fish and wildlife impacted by BC Hydro facilities in this watershed 2. Review our past work in the watershed to address impacts from Wahleach Dam 3. Discuss our initial list of future fish and wildlife priorities and compensation projects 4. Hear your ideas

The FWCP – An Introduction We are a partnership between BC Hydro, the Province of B.C., Fisheries and Oceans Canada, First Nations and Public Stakeholders, to conserve and enhance fish and wildlife impacted by BC Hydro dams. 4

Our Watershed Action Plans Matter 1. Define “footprint” impacts of BC Hydro dams 2. Identify fish & wildlife priorities 3. Recommend projects to address priorities 4. Define the projects we fund 10

Our Work in This Watershed An investment of $51, 000 was made in 2016 to identify species and habitats for future conservation and restoration in the Wahleach Watershed. Seven at-risk wetland and riparian species, plus mammals, bats, and birds were the focus of this work to help improve understanding of biodiversity in this watershed. 18
