Purpose of the Traffic Impact Study (TIS) • To identify the incremental traffic impact of the proposed development and to identify traffic improvements to address the traffic impact. • The purpose is not to solve existing traffic problems. • Requires review by the Township and PennDOT (since Pothouse Road is a state road)

Steps of a TIS 1. Existing Conditions Analysis – What are the traffic operations today? 2. Future Conditions Analysis - With Background Traffic Growth Only – How will traffic operate in the future with normal traffic growth, but without the school traffic? 3. Future Conditions Analysis – With Traffic From the Proposed School – How will traffic operate in the future with the added traffic from the school?
