The Early Help Hub Overview Base for professionals to come together & share • information in order to receive the most appropriate and effective support at the earliest point • Established through a strong partnership – Public & Voluntary Sector Organisations working together and taking collective responsibility to support families under the Norfolk Threshold Framework – right support/right time. • 4 Norfolk priorities for Children and Young People are: Health and Resilience, safety and care, to develop learn and achieve and be ready for adult life Professionals work together to recognise concerns & • referrals are dealt with in the most appropriate way – Thresholds (Universal, EH, CIN, CP) Aims – to reduce duplication, delay and ensure the most • suitable service is identified
How it Operates : A Duty Connector is at the hub duty desk Monday - Friday between 9am and 430pm to record any enquiries/information coming in from professionals. These could be via email, telephone or face to face ( NB : Contacts at end of Presentation) Consent Case &/or Event recorded Hot Desks available
These cases will be discussed the next day at 9.30am when Collaboration takes place. Any professional can turn up to bring a case to the table. The Duty Connector will Chair this meeting. Consent & Confidentiality The person bringing the case will still retain the case - but other professionals will assist by giving advice and suggesting agencies to support. Collaboration is also an ideal time to bring any details of events/training to share amongst professionals At present, one agency is overseeing the Hub Connector post on a weekly basis. These agencies are: EHFF , GYBC, Police and GYCT Steering Group – NCC, GYBC, Fire&Rescue, Norfolk Constabulary, GYCT , NSFT

Figures since the Early Help Hub Opened in September 2015: Cases – 197 brought Sept – end April Events – 163 – Sept – end April Support – 29 agencies have offered their support to specific cases raised Events – 19 agencies have brought details of events Feedback – January – April 2016, 80% positive Feedback
