Current Graduation Requirements 80 credits minimum to graduate = 19 courses minimum (4 credits each) + Graduation Transitions (4 credits) 5 Graduation Program Exams (EN10, SC10, MA10, SS11/FNS12, EN12/COM12) 6
Graduation Transitions CO-ORDI NATORS: Mr. Adam Roberts & Ms. Laurie Richardson 30 hours of paid or volunteer work 150 min. per week of physical activity in Grades 11 and 12 Transition Plan Exit Interview All assignments submitted electronically via Edmodo
Required courses include: – Language Arts 10,11 +12 (12 credits) – Social Studies 10 + 11 (or First Nations Studies 12) ( 8 credits) – Science 10 + a Science 11 ( 8 credits) – A Math 10 + a Math 11 ( 8 credits) – PE 10 ( 4 credits) – Fine Arts or Applied Skills 10, 11 or 12 ( 4 credits) – Planning 10 ( 4 credits) – Grad Transitions (4 credits) + 7 “other” courses (28 credits)
Required Provincial Exams English 10 (20% ) Mathematics 10 (20% ) Science 10 (20% ) Social Studies 11 or First Nations Studies 12 (20% ) English or Communications 12 (40% ) Francais Langue 12 (40% ) (FRIM students only) The final mark is based on a blend of school marks and provincial exam
What does Gr. 11 look like? Language Arts 11: English or Communications 11 A Math 11: Apprenticeship & Workplace, Foundations, or Pre-calculus One Science 11: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science or Science & Tech. Socials Studies 11 or First Nations 12 (FNS 12) 4 elective courses – academic courses are considered electives
What does Gr. 12 look like? 1. Language Arts 12: English 12 or Communications 12 2. Min. 3 additional Grade 12 courses N.B. Grade 11 prerequisites may be required. 3. Other courses to complete graduation + /or Post Secondary admission requirements 4. Graduation Transitions
