Why stock and sell? … come inside and you’ll soon see!
The issue: Over the years, the audio industry seems to over complicated built in speaker systems. Typically, the audio consultants tend to oversell the latest and greatest products which are suited for primarily 20% of the market and forget about the other 80% of the people that want simplicity and value. Often, electricians, contractors and developers unnecessarily hire an audio consultant who is taking away more than just the speaker business and in turn, takes a lot of the jobs profit.
If your customers are using a consultant for their projects: • it often limits them to a maximum 20% of the available market • generally offers technically advanced product, which is often over kill for your customers needs and budget • can be costly, confusing to install and confusing to operate for the end customer • they’re taking the profit out of their pockets and padding the consultants bottom line Don’t let them do that anymore! Ready2Rock has an alternative.
The solution: Ready2Rock is “the easy solution to sound in your home” for the 80% of the market that the audio consultants don’t focus on. Most people want product which is easy to use and offers true value. Many thinking that built in speakers are too complicated and too costly. Ready2Rock focuses on 3 core items: Ease - Value - Support
Getting started: First, it is most important to identify your customers needs If your customer is looking for: • infra red remote control • multi zone – multi input keypad operation • integration into other systems like security Suggest using an audio consultant… that’s what they are good at For all other projects, use Ready2Rock
Information: In general, home stereos and speakers use 8 ohm impedance (resistance). If you connect: • one pair of speakers to a stereo… no problem • two pair of speakers … still no problem • more pairs of speakers… PROBLEM
Information: So, years ago the audio industry came up with an impedance matching volume control to adjust for multiple pairs of speakers by moving pin jumpers on the PC board. Their problems are: • they compensate for the number of speakers in a room… or …the number or speakers in a project… but can’t compensate for both very well • setting the adjustment jumpers requires knowledge and experience (see above picture) they are not installer friendly especially if done by an apprentice (sorry apprentices) • • doesn’t always keep a constant load to the stereo • incorrect settings may cause damage to the stereo • requires a speaker selector box to be added to the system for additional matching increasing the jobs cost Basically… they are an old and cumbersome design making them difficult to work with.
Ease: VC-5A Ready2Rock VC-5A is a fully automatic impedance matching volume control • plug and play… 4 wires in from the stereo and 4 wires our to the speakers that’s it !!! • requires no adjustments and automatically compensates for future growth • VC-5A will easily run up to 4 pair of speakers per room • available in Decora white, black, light almond and ivory They might look the same as the old style… but looks is where it ends
Ease: VC-J8 Ready2Rock VC-J8 Junction Box • junction box, hub, sub panel, problem solver… call it what you will • connects up to 8 rooms / zones with up to 4 pair of speakers per room • works easily with a VC-5A fully automatic volume control • replaces the need for a speaker selector switch • tidies up the speaker wiring behind the stereo • great for new construction or renos • can be located in the attic for renos and easy future expansion • has removable plugs with solid connection points for up to 14 gauge wire
Value: Ready2Rock speakers Speakers are often seen as something that fills the hole and makes noise. Some do a better job than others… contractor grade to the high end. It’s more than just about the price… it’s about the value! Your customers come to you because of you supply good product… Right?

Dealer sales tip: Typically most projects install speakers into 3 to 5 rooms / zones, plus the home theatre… that’s 3 additional pair of speakers The most popular rooms are: 1. kitchen 2. living room 3. bathroom 4. patio 5. bedroom Don’t forget the laundry room and the garage Check out the “room layout” page on www.ready2rock.ca for recommended speaker choices
Dealer sales tip: Do the math… 5 rooms per house x a sub division = a lot more profit that you didn’t have yesterday. Better yet you are offering an easy solution to your customers that might have thought speaker systems were too confusing or costly… you are their problem solver!
Dealer sales tip: A few of quick technical suggestions: • always use a volume control in each room including the room the stereo is in. It keeps the system matched and allows the sound in the stereo room to be turned off but leaving sound playing in the rest of the house. Same goes for the theatre room, add a volume control • we are a big believer of having a stereo for each floor • bigger speakers 8” sound better than a smaller 6” one… its just physics • the more speakers the better • commercial is not much different than residential. First sectorize the project into separate rooms or areas, then use the VC-J8 junction box to tie it all together.
Dealer support: What happens if you have a question or need help? That is the problem with support from the audio world there is very little… until now!
