Budapest and the Hungaroring will be the setting for Round 3. The opening two rounds, at Imola and Monza, were full of excitement. Leading the standings after picking up 3 wins is David Baldi. Budapest will reveal if he is able to consolidate this advantage or if the chasing pack close in on him. Baldi will have to keep a special eye on Venezuelan Gaetano Ardagna, who appears to be improving all the time. Racing on their home circuit, Béla Csiszer and Anita Toth, a real-life couple, will be out to put on their best performance of the season. After getting over her crash at Monza, Swiss Andrina Gugger will be keeping up the renowned female presence in the Trofeo Maserati. Alessandra Neri, on the other hand, will be making her Maserati debut. Forli-based Neri boasts three wins and six podiums in the 2010 GT Sprint Series championship and decided to take part in the Trofeo Maserati GranTurismo MC series to continue her international career driving top GT cars. The third Hungarian competing is Janos Vida, a journalist from Hungarian magazine Auto 2. In

  2. the Radio Monte Carlo car will be Sandro De Castro with the radio station itself publicising the Maserati series on its weekly ‘RMC motori’ and ‘RMC Music & Sport’ slots. The report is scheduled for 15.30 on Sunday. Dutchman Phil Bastiaans will be appearing in the team series. Last year Bastians, racing a Maserati GranTurismo MC in the 6 Hours of Vallelunga, placed second in the GT Cup category. Then he was partnered by Lorenzo Casè, a driver he will be up against this time round. Race 1 will be beamed live on the Italian channel Nuvolari, available on satellite, with Race 2 shown from 17.05.
