OMS Customer Partnership Group Acceptable Use Policy For service consumption, the ISO has the following acceptable use agreement. For each identity and service, the consumer shall invoke the service no more often than once every 5 seconds. ISO production services may only be consumed for production purposes. Page 5
OMS Customer Partnership Group Acceptable Use Policy Next Steps: • CAISO has enabled AUP in MAPStage • Limited to OMS API Retrieves only – Not API Submits and not UI traffic • The limit which will be enforced at the resource or outage ID level every 5 seconds (Certificate/User/Resource or Outage ID) • If a resource or outage is not being queried, enforcement will be by transaction, per certificate, per service every 5 seconds in MAPStage Page 6
OMS Customer Partnership Group Limiting outages to 12 month Issue - The ISO has observed a number of outages where the outage duration exceeds a 12 month period. Some of these outages have over 50 updates and thousands of availability rows. Proposal – Establish validations that will limit outages to no longer than a 12 month period. Next Steps – Obtain stakeholder feedback Page 7
OMS Customer Partnership Group Transmission Web Service v2 Issue – Payload structure does not easily distinguish between equipment that is out of service versus a equipment rating change. Next Steps – ISO is working to update the payload version. For participants that have updated to version 2 be aware of this issue. For participants, we recommend not moving to the new version. Page 8

OMS Customer Partnership Group Roadmap Summary Roadmap Item Description Transmission/Generation : Allow state change to Enhancement to end an outage and return equipment to IN_OK and outage end time in one transaction service in one transaction instead of two. Generation : Master file ramp rate changes Currently a MF ramp rate change on a resource will cause any outages on that resource to become invalid. Enhancement so MF change to ramp rate should only cause outages with NoW of RAMP_RATE to become invalid. Generation : Outages on intertie resources Update RA data processing to allow effective dated RA values. Participants will utilize these values for outages on interties. Intertie resources utilize RA MW value as PMax for outage submission/modification. Generation : Overlapping PMin re-rates Currently only one Pmin outage can be entered on a resource at a time. Enhancement to allow multiple Pmin outages to be entered at the same time. Transmission/Generation : Broadcast version updates CAISO to broadcast when an outage is updated and a new version is created within the OMS system. Transmission : Trumping Allows the system to apply the switch configuration of an outage if its priority trumps one or more existing outages. Page 11
