Background and Proposal Historical non-conforming uses found occurring onsite: • boat and engine repairs and maintenance; storage of boats taller than 3.7 metres (12 ft.); and • • boat and engine sales and displays Zoning Bylaw Amendment: Adds the above noted uses to both M3 and CR3 zones • • Legitimize these historical outdoor uses Allows continued marina operations in full compliance • with the zoning bylaw.
Recommendations and Rationale Recommendations: 1 st Reading provided for the zone amending bylaw; and • • Public Hearing be scheduled Rationale: Proposed uses are historically pre-existing and are a part of typical marina operations; Marina has been operating for many years without substantial complaints; No new buildings or construction is proposed; No additional parking is required; and Allows the marina to operate in full compliance with the zoning bylaw.
