  2. Concurrent Enrollment ● Take community college courses while in high school, during the summer or school year ● Earn college credits for FREE -- you only need to pay for books/supplies ● Save hundreds to thousands of dollars (a single college course can cost up to $6,000!)

FAQ: “Can I take a class to get ahead?” ● Concurrent enrollment is recommended for enrichment only -- not for fulfilling prerequisites or getting ahead ● Our Math & Science Departments strongly recommend that students take all core courses at Mills ● Community college courses (such as Geometry & Chemistry) typically do not adequately prepare students for higher level math and science courses

  13. Registering for concurrent enrollment 1. Create a CCC (California Community College) account online. Note: You need your Social Security #. 2. Register online for Skyline/CSM/Canada 3. Fill out a College Connection Course Request Form and the blue SMUHSD Course Pre-Approval Form. Get parent & counselor signatures. 4. Take a photo of your Course Request Form & upload it to WebSMART online account (you will need a G#) 5. Register for classes online Need help? Ask your counselor!!
