They observed various measuring tools used by chefs to measure the accurate amount of ingredient to be used in a dish.

  7. Fractional ctional Feast st wi with th Fri riend ends • The students were given a home assignment called ‘Fraction Feast’ to consolidate their learning. They had to find a fireless recipe that had ingredients given in fractional form and had to first double and then half the ingredients of that recipe to make two new recipes and bring them to school to share with their friends.

  8. Fraction ction in in Mu Music sic • To further demonstrate the use of fractions and strengthen the learning a workshop was conducted by Vivek Sir. He played the violin for the children and showed them how the different fractions of the chords of a Violin produced different sounds.

  9. Cu Culmina lminati tion on • The culmination of the PBL was done on 22nd September, 2017 in the school’s Assembly hall. Taking a clue from the popular television series ‘Master Chef’, the students were given fireless cooking recipes and were told how many people each group had to serve. The children had to make adjustments to the given recipes accordingly, either adding or subtracting the quantity of ingredients required depending on how many people were to be served.

  10. Working in their respective groups they first made their calculations on the quantity of ingredients needed and then raced to collect their requirements from the pantry set up at the venue and compiled their dishes. The judges gave marks on the basis of taste, timely preparation and the presentation of dishes.
