My Background • MFL Coordinator at Greasby Infant School since October 2012 • Director of Language College & Confucius Classroom at Calday Grange Grammar School in West Kirby, Wirral • 20 years teaching experience at Calday • Head of MFL – 30 Staff • Head of Language College since 2006 • One of first 5 Confucius Classrooms in 2007

Greasby Infant School Information about the school Greasby Infant School is a two form entry Infant School, which teaches 220 children aged 3-7 years old. It is located in Greasby, a semi-rural town in the North of England, close to the historic cities of Liverpool and Chester.

Man andarin darin Chinese inese in co context text with th ot other her lan anguage guages • Greasby Infant School has developed an extensive and varied programme of language learning throughout recent years • Presently all children are learning 2 languages • Pre school children ( aged 3-4 ) learn Mandarin • Foundation 2 children ( aged 4-5) learn French and Mandarin • Year 1 children ( aged 5 – 6 ) learn German and Mandarin • Year 2 children ( aged 6 – 7 ) learn German and Mandarin
